Many folks have seen the recent inundation of LendingTree ads on the internet. The question most people want to know is: "How does LendingTree work and do they offer the best deal?". Obviously, revenue must be generated from such a costly advertising campaign, and it seems unlikely revenue and profit is generated from giving the best savings to the consumer. The next paragraphs will review how many of the "banks compete" lenders/lead sellers work.

Many Lenders similar to LendingTree have come under scrutiny from the governement as of late. This is due to possible violations of the Truth in Lender Act regarding their advertisements. Many of the teaser rates being advertised these day are quite misleading.
